The residents of Nevergoogleland were a content and peaceful bunch, until one day when the town was suddenly thrown into chaos. It all began when a mysterious priest arrived in town. He refused to reveal his name or his purpose for being there, but his presence seemed to bring an aura of darkness and dread with him.
The townspeople quickly began to notice strange occurrences. Unusual sounds coming from the church at night, a foul stench in the air, and a feeling of unease that seemed to linger just beyond their reach. People started to disappear, only to be found days later with no memory of what had happened.
The priest seemed unconcerned about the events, but the townsfolk were terrified. Someone finally mustered up the courage to confront the priest and demand answers. The priest simply replied, “My name is Father Death, and I am here to collect souls.”
Father Death began to spread his dark influence throughout the town. He could be seen walking the streets at night, always accompanied by a horde of crows. He would show up at people’s houses unannounced and whisper something in their ears. Those who heard him would fall into a deep, unending sleep.
As Father Death’s influence grew, so did the terror in Nevergoogleland. People barricaded themselves in their homes, while others fled the town. Those who stayed behind soon learned why Father Death had come – he was there to take their souls.
One by one, Father Death collected the souls of the townspeople until all that remained were the dead and those too terrified to move. In the end, Father Death had taken every single soul in Nevergoogleland, leaving the town a ghostly, empty shell of what it once was.
