The Cursed Souls of Haverford Cemetery

The Cursed Souls of Haverford Cemetery

It was late at night in the small town of Haverford, when I decided to take a late night stroll through the cemetery. I loved the peace and solitude that a cemetery offered, and I was looking for a little bit of both. As I made my way through the maze of headstones, I noticed something strange.

The moonlight reflecting off the headstones seemed to be brighter than usual, and the shadows seemed to be moving in strange ways. I tried to tell myself it was just my imagination, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

I continued walking, my heart pounding in my chest. As I got closer to the center of the cemetery, I noticed a large mausoleum. It looked like it had been there for centuries, and it sent chills down my spine. I could feel an evil presence emanating from it.

Suddenly, the door to the mausoleum opened and a figure stepped out. It was shrouded in darkness, its face hidden behind a hooded cloak. I wanted to run away, but something compelled me to stay.

The figure started to move towards me, its footsteps echoing in the night. I backed away, my heart racing with fear. As it got closer, I noticed its hands were skeletal and its eyes glowed red in the darkness. It stopped in front of me and stuck out its hand.

I was too scared to move, but then I heard a voice inside my head telling me to take its hand. So, I did. As soon as our hands touched, I felt a strange energy pass through me. Suddenly, I found myself standing in an alternate dimension where I could see the dead walking among the living.

The figure started to speak in a low, eerie voice. It told me that it was one of the cursed souls who was doomed to wander the graveyard for eternity. It then revealed that it had been watching me for some time and wanted me to join it in its eternal torment.

Shocked, I tried to run away, but it was too late. The figure had already grabbed hold of me and dragged me into the mausoleum with it. I screamed for help as it locked the door behind us and sealed us inside for all eternity.

And so began my life as one of the cursed souls in the Tales from the Crypt.
